Inspired by his recent role in Netflix film “Dolemite Is My Name,” starring Eddie Murphy, Bobby Rush proceeded to craft a new single encapsulating the raw tenacity of Rudy Ray Moore, mirroring his own as he enters the seventh decade of his career.
In anticipation of their upcoming self-titled album on Smithsonian Folkways, the eclectic multicultural folk duo have dropped their first single, “Water Is Wide/Wusuli Boat Song (乌苏里船歌).” The release of the full LP is slated for April 3rd.
